Holy Days

 There are days that are heralded as a great day, one to look forward to, which will keep minds on looking at the future and not dwelling on possible past mistakes.  These Days require an honorable mention as a holiday to all Jashins:

Jan. 2 --The New Year-- When the Earth begins another cycle around the Sun, it is a reason to celebrate by having a feast with as large of a Gathering of Jashinists as possible.  Every day we are closer to seeing Jashin, and this day symbolizes another Year we have spent in His service, another Year closer to being with him.  The feast should begin with a toast and Prayer of the New Year's.

Feb. 29 --Leap Day-- This day is such a treat, Jashin only gives it to us once every four years.  It can be anything you want it to be; a great ritual, a Day of Peace, or simply a day to have a boisterously great time with friends.  Anyway you celebrate it, this day is a definite holiday!

Mar. 14 --Reflection Day-- This day is a serious homage to those who have lost lives and particularly those who have claimed their own life.  Those who commit suicide are the ones the Jashins are most dedicated to save, because they have felt so much pain that they literally cannot take it.  Another person claims their own life every 36 seconds, and the rate is increasing, drastically in some areas.

Apr. 22 --Day of the Earth-- The twenty-second of April is a day where those of all religions do something for the planet, whether small or large.  Jashin gave us this Earth, and many continually disrespect it.  Jashins don't have to become vegetarians or become an animal-rights activist to show that you care about Jashin's gift.  Just spend an hour not on unnecessary electronics, or spend an hour on a nature walk if you live in a potential area.

Jun. 21 --The Summer Solstice-- Today is the longest day of the year.  It is different every year, but on June 20, 21, or 22nd.  I would honor this day with a 24-hour fast, except of course, for minimal water.  To those in the Southern Hemisphere, revert your attention to the Winter Solstice for this date.
